Common wall lizard
Podarcis muralis
- a lizard with long legs thanks to which it springs
very well - it feeds on insects, spiders, butterflies, cater-
pillars and worms - lives in humid, sunny hillsides, forests with rocky formations, ruins and railway embankments
- its colour is pale red-brown with dark spots, on
both sides there might be blue spots - it is oviparous, the female lays 2 – 8 eggs
- wall lizards can reach up 18 cm
